Description:

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is looking for a skilled Delivery Consultant – Database who will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS cloud-based solutions.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to enterprises, driving customer success throughout their cloud journey. Your expertise will guide organizations in database migration, cloud architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to assess infrastructure and propose migration strategies to AWS.
  • Leading database modernization projects, particularly with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and mentorship to teams.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and AWS innovations.
  • Building and sharing reusable knowledge within AWS through training and mentoring.

AWS EC2, AWS ELB, AWS RDS, Route53, S3, Oracle, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, Terraform, Python, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redshift, Greenplum, Snowflake, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, Database Migration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud architecture and database implementation.
  • Hands-on expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL database development/migration.
  • Solid understanding of core AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Terraform, Python).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • AWS Professional-level certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) are a strong plus.
  • Exposure to non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) and data warehouse solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, Greenplum) is preferred.
